Diamond Packaging is a family-owned packaging company in Concord, NC, founded in 2025 by Ryan Ross. We supply custom boxes, gaylords, retail displays and distribution supplies to companies nationwide, backed by honest advice and on-time delivery.

The Story Behind Our Name

Inspired by Baseball. Built Like the Stone.

The name draws on two unlikely sources, baseball and geology. Each one reflects how we work today.

Our founder, Ryan Ross, played baseball at East Carolina University, and what he learned on the field still shapes how he runs the business: show up every day, do your job and play for the team.

Geology gives the name its second meaning. Diamonds are formed under pressure, and they hold up. Good packaging should too, and so should the people behind it.

Baseball shaped how we work, and the diamond sets the standard for what we deliver. Together, they’re the name on every order we ship.

Where It Began

Why Ryan Started Diamond Packaging

Ryan got his start in industrial packaging on the plant floor, seeing firsthand how corrugated is made. As he moved into sales, he learned what manufacturers need from their packaging once it leaves the plant. Knowing the business from both sides, he also saw where suppliers let good companies down. Quotes took too long. Problems got passed around. And nobody stopped to ask whether the box was even the right box.

In January 2025, Ryan started Diamond Packaging in Concord, just outside Charlotte, to fix those problems. You get quick, straight answers and packaging matched to how your product is made and shipped. When your plans change, we flex on sizes, minimums and lead times.

As a family-owned company, we put our name behind every order. If something goes wrong, you won’t get passed around. The person you call owns it until it’s fixed. No matter how big we grow, that won’t change.

Meet the Founder

Ryan Ross

Ryan Ross founded Diamond Packaging in 2025 and is a graduate of East Carolina University.

What he enjoys most is walking a customer’s production line, finding a better way to pack something and saving a customer time, waste and headaches.

A Cabarrus County native, Ryan grew up in Mount Pleasant, NC, and built Diamond Packaging close to home in Concord, where he lives with his wife and daughter. Faith and family come first. Outside of work, you’ll usually find him on a golf course or headed to the beach.

Giving Back

Part of the Community

Giving back has been part of Ryan’s game plan since his ECU days. There, he received the Mr. Pirate award, given to a student-athlete who shows excellence in the classroom, in athletic competition and through community service. That commitment carries into how Diamond runs. In 2026, we donated boxes to support earthquake relief, and as we grow, we’ll keep finding ways to show up for the people and communities around us.
